I am getting unscheduled reboots on an RT-3100 every 5 days. The scheduler is not turned on. Can anyone tell me what would cause this I am running Merlin 380.64

Typically a out of memory situation or hardware failure - but as it comes so regularly I vote for memory full! ;)

What services do you run on the router? Any AI-Cloud or Download Manager stuff? Then you should add a swap file...

Thanks for the reply.
I'm not really running anything just the AI-Protection. The thing that is puzzling is it's happening every 5 days.

What's the best way to add a swap. I'm not used to Asus.

Perhaps - zram and kernel same-page merging would help, and not hammer the flash... and then we can do the linux OOM killer as well - but at least the kernel is protected, and we should be able to respawn needed processes :D

(those are android tweaks for small mem devices, fwiw - not sure if the default kernel in AsusWRT has these config items enabled or not)

Anything in your logs looking like this? http://pastebin.com/5M0igFJ1
If so AND you have WAN remote access /AiCloud exposed, see the hacked router thread to check your device. It could be a result of being hacked.
