Upnp question?

Just wanted to ask, if I disable Upnp in the gui does that disable nat-pmp and pcp?

Shame, I I've been qurious about disabling Upnp only but leaving the other things like pcp and Nat pmp on for trouble shooting purposes.

As far as I know, the miniUPnP deamon only features PCP and NAT-PMP.

Upnp is just a name for a set of protocols. It does not imply that the deamon implements all of them.

Actually it does Merlin seemed to have enabled all of them as far as I remember I was reading that he did also I check it my self when I was having Nat issues it, certain games that use Upnp used Nat pmp instead, I also recall dome pcp forwards.

I was hoping there was a way to get Upnp forwards to fall back to Nat pmp on the case that Upnp had issues forwarding the port, hence why I am qurious about an option to just disable Upnp and leave Nat pmp and pcp enabled.

As @reerden said, UPnP is an umbrella term for a collection of different protocols. miniupnpd provides support for IGD, NAT-PMP and PCP.

Right so in that case windows and most Consoles use IGD and UDA, right I'm just trying to understand it better that's all.

I was just wondering if there's a way to get a forward to fall back to Nat pmp or pcp of it failed to work via IGD.
