Every month i have to install games in .iso format with each one anywhere betweeen 4gig and 14gig on 35 machines and have been doing it one by one which takes about 11 hours. I have just purchased the TS 459 pro+ as i want to be able to install 4-5 machines at the same time thus speeding things up.
My whole network is Gigabit with 2 X 24 port Dlink Gigabit DGS1024 Unmanaged switches and a linksys E3000 Gigabit router with all the pc's having Gigabit lan interfaces.
In the NAS im using 4 X 1Tb Samsung SU drives and reliability and redundancy is not my main concern, all i want is the fastest speed.
How should i configue, 4 X single volumes or Raid 0? as i want the fastest transfer speed for the installs?
Also as the 450pro+ has 4 drives should i only install on 4 client machines concurrently until all 30 clients are completed or can i install on more at the same time? and how badly will this affect transfer speed?
Lastly, i mount the images using Magidisc iso from the client to where the .iso is stored on the nas server, is this the correct procedure and the quickest way or should i be mounting using the inbuilt iso mounter on the nas server
