USAccess on Merlin firmware How-to

I put together some notes on how I setup usaccess for netflix on my new RT-AC68U. Previously I had an RT-N16 with Tomato and dnsmasq in the gui.

1. Install 'Merlin' firmware for the RT-AC68U (or other models).

2. Enable Telnet and confirm the JFFS partition is enabled.
Administration -> System tab

3. Telnet to the router with Putty

4. Change to the /jffs/configs directory

cd /jffs/configs

5. Create a file dnsmasq.conf.add and paste the contents below into it.

vi dnsmasq.conf.add

with vi, hit ESC and ZZ to exit/save

(this list may be dated; for the most part I only care about netflix)

6. Restart the router.

Is this just to pypass the region restriction, that's adding those you don't require to use vpn to get those channles if you're in Europe?
