Hi all.
I was just wondering if any of you guys have the following setup:
- USB stick with whatever extras you are using on the router (entware, transmission, AB-solution, DNSCrypt...)
- USB HDD for downloads/file-sharing...
I am thinking about making a setup like this, IF it would allow the HDD to spin down. I am currently running a USB HDD on the router with entware, transmission and AB-solution on it - the HDD does not spin down with this configuration.
If that setup will allow the HDD to spin down (e.g. when no torrent are active), does the HDD need to be in Ext format, or can it be in NTFS? (previously i used a NTFS HDD with ASUS download manager, and that worked without problems). I would keep the USB stick in Ext4 format.
If this works, do you have any do's and don'ts?
UPDATE: After modifying the disk spin down value (org. set to 300), and rebooting the router, the spin down now works.
