Hi Merlin,

I just read your "History" file for the .35 firmware version, being released right now.
I don't see any comment or fix for the signal strength, being lower for the latest versions than one year back.

Any idea when the RT-N66U will be back on full strength, able to cover the same area as it did 1 year ago?

That's what the SDK5 version is for. Beyond that, it's in Asus and Broadcom's hands - there is nothing I can do.
 
For SDK6 try enabling 802.11d, increase the Tx power 100mW from the default 80mW, it helps to get better range. I don't know if it will work outside of US but it did for me.
