Very slow UI when remotely

I noticed that browsing router's UI when logged in remotely is so much slower than from the local LAN.

RT-N66U 378.50, but it's been this way for many releases. Does not depend on browser.

Latency. The router's httpd daemon is single-threaded, and can only serve one file at a time (that means every CSS, js, image, etc... must be sent one at a time). That will become more noticeable remotely.

Nothing that can be done, short of redesigning the httpd's socket code, which would be a waste of development time.

Then maybe one day the developers might look into creating an alternative interface, with more modest graphics that would be on par with the capabilities of the httpd.
