Hardware:
one Netgear GS716T V2H2 Smart switch
one Netgear FS726TP V1H2 Smart switch
one unmanaged switch

Network devices:
PC's , Printers, NAS - Main data network.
IP cameras, video server - currently isolated network.
VoIP Polycom phones (upcoming install)

PC's and general network devices on unmanaged switch, one subnet.
IP cameras and Video server use half the ports on FS726TP, second subnet, currently the FS726T switch is setup as a stand alone network for the IP cameras and video server. A second NIC is used in the video server to connect to the main data network for viewing.

Plan on connecting Polycom phones to unused ports on FS726TP, which has open PoE ports.

Start out with three VLANs.
The GS716T has all ports open, with voice VLAN and Auto-VoIP functions.
From what I have read, the "IEEE 802.1Q VLAN" setting will need to be selected on the FS726TP to connect to the other VLAN switch ( VLAN tagging ?) .

Configuration suggestions ?

Other details

Router / Firewall is pfsense, which supports VLANs.

Total number of phone stations in the 5 - 10 range.
The use of VLAN should simplify the use of QoS for the phone service.

Config Outline

Here's a high level of the setup.

1. Create three VLANS; one for data, one for video, one for voip.
2. Use 802.1q trunking on the ports connecting the GS716T to the FS726T, and the port (either switch) connected to the pfsense.
3. Make sure the 802.1q trunk ports are members of all three VLANs.
4. Use the pfsense router as your DHCP server for each VLAN.
5. Assign the rest of the ports on each switch to the desired VLAN.
6. Connect the unmanaged switch to a port assigned to the data VLAN.
7. Auto-VoIP will prioritize recognized VoIP traffic on the GS716T.
8. It sounds like you need VoIP Qos on the PoE switch (FS726TP). The FS supports QoS by port or by 802.1p markings.
9. You may also have to apply QoS on the pfsense to control bandwidth utilization.
