VPN client does not connect automaticly after reboot

New Around Here
Hi,

I'm using a ASUS RT-AC66U with Merlin 380.69_2. I have configured a VPN client with selectiv routing and it works great. In my area it's not uncommon with black-outs or unstable power that consequently leads to reboot of the router. When rebooted the client get in service status Off and not connects. When I manually put it in On state it connects imidiatly.

Is this by design?
or is it a configuration miss of me?

Regards //Patrik

Hi,

On your VPN client page, do you have "Start With WAN" set to yes?

I reboot my router for various thing's, mostly because I be playing around on it. But, I have 2 VPN client's start up with WAN. During this boot process, client's have no access to the internet until, both VPN's re-establish themselves after a reboot.

If you reboot too frequently however(such as 3 or 4 reboots in a short amount of time), I found sometimes the VPN client gets stuck bringing itself back up and require's a manual turn on.

Hi davi,

You solved it. When I configured the router I remeber that I put the "Start with WAN" parameter to "Yes", when I read your post I realised I should give this a second check and it was set to "No". I must have played around in there, by misstake changed it and saved. Sometimes it's so obvius that you don't check.

Problem solved, You got me on the right track, appriciate.

Regards //Patrik
