VPN Director Configuration Help

Occasional Visitor
I'm having an issue with my Asus router VPN setup. I created a new rule in the VPN Director with the following settings:
  • Local IP: 192.168.1.100
  • Remote IP: 1.2.3.4
  • Iface: OVPN1
My expectation was that requests from the local IP (192.168.1.100) destined for remote IP (1.2.3.4) would be routed through OVPN1, while requests to any other remote IP would use the WAN connection. However, it seems that all requests from the local IP are being blocked when the above settings are active. FTR, the OVPN1 is working fine -- when i remove the remote IP, all requests work fine through OVPN1. Am I misunderstanding the configuration or is there an issue with my setup?

I couldn't get VPN Director to work with Remote IP. I found an alternative.

If you're trying to route a specific remote IP through an active VPN and facing the same issue with VPN director, check out:
