I've recently had 2 laptops brought into my home that I wanted to ensure I could use the Asus GUI Wake on Lan feature under Network tools. These are Windows 10 v2004 Pro machines that I have for testing various things when I get bored. I setup the WOL under the Asus GUI with no issues like my other 3 devices with the only difference being that the new devices just wouldn't turn on. I would power down the units but the magic packet would never wake them up. On a whim I used the shift key while powering down one of the units to ensure it shutdown in the same fashion as the old windows days of windows 7 and xp. I sent the magic packet once again from the Asus GUI and bingo the machine lit up with no issues and started! Did the same thing with the other machine and it started as well. So that pretty much told me that Fast Startup in Windows 10 was causing me issues.

The bottom line is if you come across the same issue using WOL with Windows 10 just make sure you disable Fast Startup in the advanced power settings in the control panel of Windows. Hope this helps.
