WDS encryption

Thanks for the great software! So much better than factory firmware!

I have a question pertaining to the WDS feature on the router. I want to set up a WDS bridge between my ASUS RT-N66R and an older TP-Link router I had extra. I found even on the latest version of the firmware that there is a note:
Note:The function only support [Open System/NONE, Open System/WEP] security authentication method.

Do you think there will be an update later on that might enable security on the WDS? I hate to have to leave it unsecured.

Thanks!

there is your first issue wds doesnt work well between manufactures and will prob restrict you to using wep wireless security if it will work at all , wep wireless security is useless so i do not suggest you do that

Do you think there will be an update later on that might enable security on the WDS?

only if you get another asus router
