What does the router config page showing connected ports indicate the link rate is for the 1 Gbit/s WAN port connected to the ONT ?
i recall a similar case where the user discovered a slightly bent/mis-aligned pin in the receptacle port on the router/ONT. 100 Mbit/s ethernet only requires 4 pins of the 8 to be correct and functioning. Gbit/s ethernet requires all 4 pairs to be correct and functioning. Since the link rate appears to only work on 100 Mbit/s link rate, this implies either bad receptacle, termination, cable, or soldering on the PCB in the router or the ONT.
Has this this been this way since day 1 or has this only occurred after a change of equipment ? If the latter, what was the change.
I tried 5 different cables, I still face the throttling issue, Fiberbox is: FiberTwist XGS2310B connected directly through a lan cable from the 10GE LAN 1 port to the router. I tried 2 different Netgear Orbi 970, 1x eero max 7, 2x Asus BQ16..
non of the routers showed logs error or something, but only ASUS BQ16 showed the error I mentioned above..
The building I'm currently living in, is new.. and there was no fiberbox, so when I called the ISP, they installed the fiberbox and got the internet..
The problem occurs since day 1.. It's been two weeks like that and through the past two weeks I tested the routers I mentioned above, and tried to disconnect all the devices and kept only 1 LAN device connected and the problem occurs..
I tried to connect a laptop directly to the Fiberbox, but nothing happened.. there was no problem.. The problem occurs after I connect a router..
is it possible that the fiberbox is defected? even though it's not flashing red or something, it's not showing any problem as it looks like it's working fine.. both green light are on, the Power LED light is green, and the other one is that the fiber cable is connected, and when I plug in the LAN cable to the router, the LAN port also turns to green..
This issue is driving me crazy..
