My Fire TV looks to be putting out a wifi signal that always mirrors and self-changes channels to match what the router nearest to it (EA6900) is putting out (5Ghz band) even though I have it hooked up with ethernet. I change the channel on the router and the Fire TV changes channels to match. There is no SSID on the signal from the Fire TV either.

When I look at the device listing on my RT-AC56U it says two devices are connecting to my 56U through the Amazon Fire TV. Weird.

I think it's used for the remote control. They switched from using Bluetooth to Wi-Fi.
