What makes the status page for AC88U show disconnected when its not

My ac88u ever since installing 384.9 showed status disconnected. I reverted back to 384.8_2 and the issue actually remained. What is weird is when i refresh the status page i can see my public ip and the ddns for a split second before it switched to disconnected. My internet and everything works as expected, but it visually displeases me. Anything to help troubleshoot why?

Ok i found a temporary solution:
Wan: Use DNS probes to determine if WAN is up (default: Yes) I turned it off and I am good.

this is only temporary because i want to be able to use DNS probes to test my connection. What should i check to see why this is failing. I am using DNS 1.1.1.1 and tried others as well as all the DNS bind protection and security settings.

Can you DNS lookup the target?
  • nslookup dns.msftncsi.com
Is WAN actually dropping?
  • Check syslog.log
  • Temporarily change Network Monitoring to Ping with a Ping Target of 1.1.1.1
Are there issues with Stubby?
  • Check stubby.log
Are there issues with Dnsmasq?
  • Check dnsmasq.log
