What model should I replace the GT16000 router with?

I waited quite some time for a vlan enabled firmware. It seems that Asus can give it to 16000 owners.
I'm considering XT12 (because of merlin) or ET12. Like the form factor and the pro firmware.
Would it be a good replacement for 16000 if I didn't care about 6E or 10GB LAN ports?

I wanted vlan.That was the expectation
I bought GT16000 instead XT12 because I was able to get it for the price similar to XT12 and I thought that it has vlan...
