What next after rt ac68U ?

New Around Here
I have used asus rt ac68u so far but it has lost support asus merlin. I am thinking about buying a new router. I am looking for help with the purchase. Which model do you recommend? I am mainly interested in at least 2 years of asus merlin support. The router will secure the home network. 2 TVs (tv streaming netflix, prime, hbo max,) 1 PC for strictly esports games, 2 laptops for work) + 1 playstation 5 console. I also care about maximum security and privacy. I have a 1gb/1gb connection but I think that next year I will increase it, both laptops and TV connected by WIFI, console and PC connected by cable. In addition, there are two phones on Android. Of course at a fairly decent price. Thanks

If your budget allows it, I'd think about wifi 7 "be" series asus routers like rt-be86u or rt-be92u if you need 6GHz radio. Second doesn't have Merlin support yet, but I think it's just a matter of time.

The RT-ax88u pro has a 2.5Gbps WAN port (as I'm sure others in the AX line do as well) for your ISP package speed upgrade.
If you start getting into faster, I'd encourage investing in more capable/flexible hardware than consumer/SOHO all-in-one units
