New Around Here
Hi, as part of routine security checks I recently portscanned all my home routers. On all my routers except my ASUS AC-66U only 2 essential ports were open on the LAN side and none on the WAN side. On the ASUS router, *A LOT* of ports were open on the LAN side, most of them apparently undocumented and probably not wanted. This did not vary when I changed the firmware from ASUS stock to Merlin. Can someone post a list of what ports are open by default and what services are running on them?

Lots of proprietary, undocumented, closed-source Broadcom crap. :(

Edit: It will also scan your network and attempt multiple connections to undocumented ports on any accessible LAN client. My RT-N66U (AP mode) floods my router's firewall log with connection attempts after every reboot.
