What ports to forward for Synology

Hi, you don't need to do any typing...

The NAS will setup all the rules for you, right from the DSM screen. Just give the wizard your router username and password, it will then automatically setup port forwarding rules depending which DSM features you are actually using.

Lets not forget that you only need to forward ports for services or functions your NAS is using.
example...
If your not running an ftp server then don't worry about forwarding port 23.

I think you mean port 20 and 21 for ftp. Port 23 is telnet.
 
yep I misstated the port for ftp but you get the point.
No need forward everything if your not using it.
As a best practice only expose what you need to & keep the rest secure.
