I run a photo studio. Which im setting up after a remodel and putting a workstation there.
I run a whs and a d-link unit. The d-link for movies/music on the network and the WHS to backup my computers.
In my studio i will have a workstation + my laptop. The workstation will be a smaller case (mini itx) so It wont fit more drives than the system disk. I was thinking of putting an external case with harddrives next to it and connect with a e-sata. Also would like to sync the data in the studio/on the external drive as i would like to easily be able to work with same files both from home and at the studio. Bandwith is no problem as both my home and studio has a 100/100mbit internet connection.
I would also want to be able to stream music/video to my media unit in the studio. (tv + apple tv).
So my questions are:
What external enclosure for harddrives should i get which has a good raid system?
Should i get a NAS instead?
Should i get a WHS + a external enclosure?
What wireless router will i get? (it will probably be in the next room)
Want it to be fast and cost effectiv
