Hello

Have 1 Gbps ISP speed, need 800+ WG speed

1- It there any non wifi7 ASUS model than can give me 800+ Mbps WG speed ?
2- I know ASUS ROG GTAX6000 can give 650 Mbps, doing research seems this model for some unknown reasons have bad WG performance.
3- Heard from this video:
(12:15) that TUFAX6000 can give 1000 Mbps WG speed? is this right ?
4- Currently have RTAX82U which is giving me around 360 Mbps GB speed.

Which model do you guys recommend?

thanks in advance

No. For that kind of throughput you will need an x86-based router.

How about a "cheap" wifi7 router like the RT-BE88U which have 2.6 quad processor ?
I tested the GT-BE98_PRO last week (same CPU), and the highest I got running Speedtest through a WG tunnel with my VPS (which normally saturates my Gbps FTTH when moving files over SSH) was around 320 Mbps. The bottleneck is not the VPN itself, it's the fact that the WireGuard protocol is not compatible with Broadcom's NAT acceleration.

No. For that kind of throughput you will need an x86-based router.

Mediatek Filogic 830 can hit 900 consistently over Wireguard...

That's a GL-Inet MT6000 router that can run OpenWRT out of the box with all the bells/whistles...
