It depends on your environment. If you are just tinkering around at home, use the beta. If you have devices or services on your network that are mission critical, stay with 39_0 EM.

Does this mean your closer to finding a fix for the reboot issue ? If not i will stick with 40 alpha4.

You should test each firmware to see what is best for your setup. I mean it's really easy to switch between firmwares..
