My Asus RT-AC68U seems to be having some stability issues on the 2.4GHz band recently. The screenshots I am uploading are taken from my own PC, which is about 8 feet from the router with no obstacles in between. Also, I have checked on my daughter's laptop over the past hour or so and she has been getting some 100% packet losses for several seconds at a time (according to the MultiPing graphs I have been running on her machine, similar simultaneous tests on my own PC [wired] being OK, see screenshot). Interestingly and I don't know whether this is a factor or not, when I leave my Amazon Fire TV on standby, it seems to be transmitting wi-fi of its own (it's the next lower band in the InSSIDer GUI without a SSID name and shown in dotted orange on the graph). I changed the channel from 11 to channel 1 and unplugged the Fire TV, but still there is some dropping of the signal. What could be going on here I wonder?
