WiFi Problem with Merlin?

ich have some Problems with my AC87U. I load Merlin FW on my router, and i set the options for better Performance from this site: http://www.rickygao.com/tuning-the-asus-wireless-router-to-best-performance/

If i Connect to my OEM Cable Router (fritz.box) this is the result..

What can be the Problem?

Do factory reset of router and for stater do not change setting what you see on website. In fact leave them default there is reason default values are recommended under professional tab and forget what website tell you.

Once reset only configure SSID, Authentication method and WPA key leave every else as it is.

Don't use the same SSID that you've got on the cable modem and use a new SSID for your testing, so that you have to enter new details into your client.

Probably best to start with the base config, make sure that works. Then change one thing at a time do if it goes wrong, you know what the "last thing touched" was.

May be channel issue. My ac68u cannot excess 174Mbs on AC wifi if using 165 channel (tested using Laptop and desktop client same result), switch to channel 149 can reach back to 867Mbs on AC wifi.

The right channel makes a huge difference, and auto channel has never worked well for me. I've only found the best channel by trial and error, testing the results.
