I have followed the Instructions found on slick deals and on you tube on how to correctly flash the t-mobile router. I have tried two different versions of the same firmware and it will not complete fully. ( i get to 98%) then an error pops up stating it may be a corrupt firmware or incorrect version. the exact name is TM-AC1900_3.0.0.4_376_1703-g0ffdbba.trx

I have the ip4 set to 192.168.29.2
subnet 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.29.1 on my network device.
I have done a manual reset of the nvram and tried the mini web server to update the firmware as well and get the same error. I am at an Impasse as to the correct steps to take now. the telnet feature is not available yet. I have had the cell-spot on the Internet until the last few days when my routers started to mysteriously reset to default and leave them broadcasting with no security. I am sure it is my kids but I got to thinking it would be nice to have Merlin`s firmware on both routers. Any advice on what to do is greatly appreciated,
Thanks!
love the new look!

Have a great Day!

Try this and you will transform your router in stock rt-ac 68u, do it at your own risk, may void your warranty,
, and after you flash any firmware you wish. Use a computer with Windows 7 & IE.

I tried the video. I did the asus restore and it would not finish. it woulg go to 98% and stop and the error was you have an incorrect version or currupt file. I tried this on windows 7 using ie. I also tried the tutorial on slick deals as well and tried their version of the older t-mobile file with the same error.I used the asus firmware restore utility during all attempts. I even tried to upload through the web gui and same error. anyone have any suggestions?

How long did you wait for it to finish?

In some cases, 2 hours or more would be required (going by previous posts).
