New Around Here
I just got an ASUS RT-AX58U to replace an old Linksys router that was running an old version of DD-WRT. Connected to the old router via ethernet was a GL.iNet travel router on which I had a Wireguard VPN server working perfectly. I was hoping I could just set up the new ASUS router (done), add the proper DHCP reservation for the GL.iNet (done) and set up port forwarding for Wireguard to the GL.iNet (done)…and it would just work.
What happens is I can get connected (from the outside) to the VPN network but I'm not getting any WAN traffic while connected. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
One thing I remember is that on the DD-WRT router port forwarding didn't seem to work but port range forwarding did (with a range of 51820-51820). I just put that down to DD-WRT quirkiness at the time.
