Hi i never get my router signal to reach the second floor and was thinking to buy a router i see the ASUS RT-N66U Dark Knight have many positive reviews for the range but check that are new models the ASUS RT-AC66U or ASUS RT-AC68U and the NETGEAR's R7000 "Nighthawk", if my need is the range which one is the best ?

thanks for you help

for 2nd floor coverage, use an Access Point.
I use and can recommend an ASUS RT-N12D1. Connect to router via cat4 cable or MoCA or IP on Powerline (homeplug); see forum section on those topics.

Problem with 2nd floor is not only weak signal FROM WiFi router but client devices' weak signal received AT the WiFi router.
