Hello,

i use RT-AC87U, i need tipps for low latency udp traffic settings..
I use the 2,4 GHz band, because ping is <1ms and in 5 GHz band is the ping to router 2ms, is this normal?
In screenshots my actually settings, have you tweaks for better upd transfer?

Interesting observation: I also checked and can confirm!

But it's easily explainable: The AC87U has for 5G wireless handling a separate chipset (1st ms spend) called "Quadantenna" which has his own CPU and need to bridge to the main chipset/CPU handling 2.4G and all LAN/WAN ports (2nd ms used).

So: it works as designed... :rolleyes:

Regarding best settings: Default settings on Professional Page are a good starting point - messing around with this settings can make things worse if you are not fully aware what the options really mean.

If you want to check each and every setting and evaluate the value for you, the Router Guide is a good help - but do not forget to save/note the default settings - and test each change with a well defined test case which allows you to compare the difference of the settings!
