Hi there,
until last week I was using an RT-AC 68U with Merlin. Within 5 Ghz band I always got the full bandwidth (200 Mbit). Now I bought an RT-AC 86U (due to the better CPU for using with VPN). I bought the device at Gearbest in China. After updating to Merlin 384.3 and importing the setting from the 68U everything seemed to work fine.
Today I did a speed test and recognized, that I only get an download speed of 20 Mibt in several measurements on WLAN 5Ghz.

Anybody an idea what that is about? Could this be due to the import of the 68U settings? I don't know if this is of interest but in the WLAN settings the channel selection only alow 149, 153, 157, 161, 165?! I'n not sure if there were other channels on the 68U before...

thanks for any help....

Most likely, when updating from different models or major version changes its best to factory reset and start from scratch. I suggest you do so then report back.

Yep, don't import settings from a different router.

You must not do this. The "save settings" file contains low level hardware settings that are specific to a particular model. You should now do a factory reset and manually configure your router.

After performing your factory reset you should set the correct region on the router for where you live.
