WNDR3700 IPSec Support

I would like to get a definitive answer on this.

1. Does the WNDR3700 support IPSec passthrough? I am using Cisco VPN client to connect to Cisco VPN concentrator.

2. If in fact the WNDR3700 does support IPSec passthrough, what is the maximum number of VPN sessions supported? Ideally the unit supports at least two.

Broke down and picked up the unit since I was able to finally find it locally (Central Oregon). No sales tax and easy return if necessary are a definite plus.

This unit replaced an aging yet reliable Linksys BEFW11S4 V.2.

In answer to question 1, it connects just fine using Cisco client version 4.8.00.0440. Actually, the VPN connection "feels" a little faster.

I have yet to test the second scenario. Will post results after doing so.

Additionally, the setup of the unit was/is fairly straightforward. No I did not use the provided software. Might as well be a coaster as far as I'm concerned but the novice might benefit.

Firmware could be better as many have stated. Updates are sloooowwww as are config changes.

I was unable to use special characters (using the ALT key) when setting up SSIDs. This was not a problem on the Linksys unit.

2.4Ghz range is very good comparable to the BEFW11S4 and its external antennae. 5Ghz range is nominal. Perhaps if the unit were placed higher and farther away from potential interferring devices it would be better.

Overall, so far so good. A big step up from 100mb wired and wireless b.
