Hey all!

I've got a Zabbix server running on my Ubuntu fileserver at home, monitoring itself and my Raspberry Pi (XBMC), and now I'm trying to get it to monitor the router. I seem to be having issues, though, as Entware on the RT-N66R/U is set up a bit differently than your typical Linux install.

I have downloaded the zabbix_agentd package and configured it with the Zabbix server IP address, but I'm not sure if I'm doing the hostname part correctly. I found a hostname option under the WAN settings in the Asus GUI and applied a basic hostname, "RT_N66R", and entered that into the zabbix_agentd.conf file, but starting the service has been a nice roadblock for me. Starting S07zabbix_agentd simply fails, no matter what I do.

I've spent most of the day (slow day, very few tickets) trying to find solutions to this issue. I did come across a tip to try telnetting into the router through port 10050, just to see if it will work, but it was not to be.

Anything would help at this point.

Router: RT-N66R
Firmware: Merlin build 376.45 with Entware
Server: Ubuntu Server 14.04.1
