ZTE MF831 3G modem with rt87u

Hi,

My ZTE MF831 modem is not working as it should with my ASUS rt87u router.

Usinng rmerlin 380.57 release. (also tried 58, 59_1)

Im a newbie with Linux and Openwrt and I really need some help regarding chatscripts and eg backfire that can redial when my modem no longer is active (but I get the blue led blinking, meaning I got a ISP 3G signal) and therefor no longer is working. I have wrote a wan-start script that will check the connection every 15 min and then I a do service restart_wan, no luck. I think I need "something" do a proper redial.

I have searched a lot but I cant find any good examples or hints. I also can not find the chatscript (openwrt) inside the Asus openwrt box.

Anyone with experience would be very appreciated!

Thanks, but a stupid question from me then, where do I set that.? I can only see USB or WAN in the Network setting page.

On the wan-setting side you can set the settings for the USB-Modem

Have you found the settings.
