New Around Here
Greetings,

I have two questions about configuring a new Zyxel USG 20W.

1) How does one disable remote admin login over HTTPS? I did a port-scan of the device and it shows 443 open and serving the Web Configurator login screen.

2) Is there anyway to add a port number to the remote logging server name?
I use the Papertrail service and it uses non-standard ports.

Thanks much,
MB

For number one
Configuration
Firewall
Single click on the first IPv4 firewall rule
Click on the Green “+” button

From WAN
To Zywall
Service HTTPS
Access deny
Log log

Click on OK

If you want to allow the 20W to respond to a ping from WAN you need another firewall rule for that. WAN ping is required for a Hurricane Electric 6in4 tunnel.
For number two I don’t know if the port can be changed. I suggest you ask in the Zyxel forum at

http://www.dslreports.com

On the port number, if I believe you can change it by entering in the local/remote IP or URL, then a colon and then the server port, example: "192.168.1.100:1234" or "logserver.yourdomain.com:1234".

Unfortunately, that didn't work.

Fortunately, Papertrail has a work around for that.

Thanks,
