Unofficial Build 380.58

I hope that all those who have been quick to criticize this project stand up and take notice of the recent turn of events. This project is one heartbeat away from being stopped in its tracks, frozen in time as it were with little, if any, hope of resumption. I miss Eric's presence greatly as do many others but life is always more important.

Things aren't that bad right now. My health has been improving lately, I've resumed doing some work these past two weeks or so, I'm just not as active at providing end-user support, something the community can cover for me already.

I just updated my rt-ac3100 and my 87r to alpha 2 and everything is working. I did a factory reset on both. I did notice one thing. I have disabled all iTunes/Media Server features and disabled the DLNA scan in the Advanced Tweaks and Hacks section yet it still shows up in iTunes as choice under Home Sharing. Any idea why this is happening and how to really disable it? I am on a iMac running Yosemite.

No need for factory reset.

Factory Reset before flashing is "Useless" , do it after if you need

Can confirm that my RT-AC87U is apparently running fine after 37 hours. My setup is pretty vanilla however, both CTF & FA enabled, and I did NOT perform a factory reset in upgrading from 380.57_0.

Been running this firmware for about 11 hours now, so far so good

I have noticed the same issue with Malicious Site Blocking not working in alpha1. I have used the test site but the tests are all getting through and triggering my local A/V.


EDIT: Upgraded to alpha3 and everything is working again.

This is looking really good for the AC87U. I had random reboots on all previous firmware. I'm still using the original alpha 3 and its been up for 7 days now. Thanks Merlin!

Edit: I just jinxed myself. It rebooted 5 mins after posting this lol

Hi all, long time since i posted anything here. still in love with Merlin FW though. A question just baught a ac88u, should i install .58alpha4 or the stable 57? i ask because i don't want to reset the router once more when stable .58 is out and manually set it up again so RMerlin is there a chance to just update .58 when stable is out?
