    Semi-spousal emergency: AC68u died

Need some quick advice. I just left for a 9 day trip, and a few hours after i left, our router seemed to stop working. It may be a power surge, as the satellite was messed up as well, even though my Asus RT-AC68U was on a surge protector. She's tried rebooting... reset... letting it sit. At...

Can't seem to find the answer to this. What's the difference between setting a static IP, vs. binding a MAC to an IP address?

    Slow download speeds through RT-AC68P

Hi all... hope you can help me - i'm only moderately technical when it comes to my router. I have an RT-AC68P with some older firmware (3.0.0.4.380_4164) I never updated past that because everything has worked so well. I have a moderate number of wireless and wired devices, but rarely are...

WAN IP changes after power outage

Pardon if this is an easy question... but on my ASUS router, every now and then after a power outage, my WAN IP changes (i'm with Comcast). this then screws up anything I use from outside with port forwarding. Is this something I can keep static?

Client count suddenly changes when I login into Asus RT-AC68P

Something seems very weird on my router... but maybe it's normal. When I log into my AC68P, I can seen on the Asus firmware home page that my number of connected clients (wired and wifi) is at (e.g.) 58. then, within about 5 seconds or less, it drops down to something more like 47. any idea...

Asus RT-AC68P suddenly dropping 2.4ghz clients

I've had this router for about a year.... and it's worked great. I 'm several firmware versions back, but haven't upgraded because everything has been so stable. Today I started noticing an IP camera dropping out a bit. Thought it was the camera, as they can be flakey, then noticed my home...

I just upgraded to 3.0.0.4.380_1842 from a firmware several versions back (3.0.0.4.378_4585) and now my entire network seems to have come to a crawl, and trying to access the Asus utility through both IE and Chrome is a nightmare... VERY slow, cuts out consistently. Any advice here greatly...

    Using RP-N53 extender - questions

I'm purchasing one of these from Amazon in an attempt to extend the wireless range of my RT-N56U... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EPGKS4S/?tag=snbforums-20 I've preread the manual, and it seems as though if you set this to the same SSID it will act as an extender, and not a separate AP...

Upgrading Asus - can i keep static IP settings config?

I have an N56U that i'm thinking about upgrading. Just not the range I want in a 3700 sq. ft. house, with lots of attempts to reposition, etc... my question is... I run a fairly large home automation setup, and have most of my "clients" setup with static IP addresses... maybe 20+. I really...

    RT-n56u drops one website consistently

Some weird behavior that I hope one of you might have some insight to. I'm running an N56U with the latest firmware from Asus (3.0.0.4.376_3879).... updated a few weeks ago. Not sure if that is when the problem started... but it was pretty close. The deal is that whenever I go to a particular...
