I have a similar problem - RT-AX88UPro - DNS resolution using the router's ip is not working. Setting dhcp to hand out dns servers other than the router itself works fine. Still to do a complete reset of the router but have rolled back to 388.5 final just now.
Check your system log for any error related to dnsmasq. Asus did update dnsmasq on their end, they have a few manual commits that I didn't have, so it's possible they could have introduced a new issue specific to it.

Why do I need to log in with a Microsoft account to access the OneDrive folder with the alpha builds?

(Is that a recent change by Microsoft?)

I probably picked wrong link here. Top updated

Problem seems to be on my side; I also have it with the new link and the one https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net/download.

This was using Mobile Safari on iPad. When I tried the same URL in the DuckDuckGo browser on the same iPad I could access the page without logging in.

PS: Your first post does not (yet) mention the AX-6000?
This is aviable at this time:
GT-AX11000_PRO
RT-AX88U_PRO
GT-AXE11000
GT-AXE16000
GT-AX6000

I've checked the logs and am getting these two lines:

CRITICAL dnsmasq FAILED TO LOAD
CRITICAL illegal repeated keyword at line 50 of /etc/dnsmasq.conf

I've looked at dsnmasq.conf and it only has 49 lines - don't know what the illegal keyword is!

Updated my GT-AX6000 from 388.5 to 388.6 alpha 1.

I can no longer access my router (on my LAN) using https://something.mydomain.com:port without allowing a security exception for this domain.

Re-uploading the Let's Encrypt certificates for *.mydomain.com (which worked fine on 388.5) did not help.

How can I fix this? (Or does this require a new build?)

Is this in a custom config file? What else might be in that file?
Removed the last line and all working now! Strange it worked with that there before :)
Hopefully the "Maximum concurrent DNS Requests reached" error won't show up again (the reason that line was added in the first place)!

What does the error message says specifically?

New additions...

Apparently the router is serving a self-signed certificate for router.asus.com (valid between 5-May-2018 and 5-May-2028) instead of my (uploaded) certificate (wildcard for my domain).

(Sorry; I can’t check the exact error on my PC right now - maybe tomorrow)

Flashed this Alpha on AX86S and nothing works. Not one device has internet including hard wired devices. It simply dont work. Dirty flash back to Asus stock firmware and all is good again everything connected and working. Something bad wrong with this Alpha on AX86S and yes i did a complete factory reset after install. Honestly never seen a firmware from Merlin fail this bad. I will hold off till bugs are fixed.

Logs? Alpha's are released to get help in testing. Without good feedback, which includes trouble shooting such as event log review, how is the developer suspose to know where to start?

Could not get logs. I could barely get back in to flash another firmware. Sorry but trust me i have used Merlin for years and never had anything like this Alpha.

Have a Asus RT-AX86U. Flash the Alpha Firmware, Dirty Flash. Under Adaptive QoS, then Internet Speed my Speed Test does not seem to be working. List shows no Test Servers. Have inserted image. The Speed Test App I have works fine (Ookla).

Thanks

Try switching to external binary in spdMerlin configuration. It appears that internal binary may be missing or damaged.

Huh? I don't use that add on or any add-ons.

My confusion. spdMerlin has the same issue if you select built-in binary.
