10 hours with my AC3200 on 61 Alpha 2. All is well so far, with all the functions that I use running at top speeds. Here are the only log entries since install:

Jul 28 02:56:31 kernel: htb: htb qdisc 12: is non-work-conserving?
Jul 28 02:56:35 kernel: htb: htb qdisc 12: is non-work-conserving?

Jul 28 12:15:10 kernel: htb: htb qdisc 10: is non-work-conserving?

I run a 140mm 57 cfm usb fan blowing into my router due to high temps causing erratic operations in my earliest days of use after purchase. Under the old beta, temps were routinely 3-5 degrees C higher than with this Alpha 2:
2.4 GHz: 42°C - 5 GHz: 46°C - CPU: 53°C

Using this on my RT-AC56U with no issues but the fix @RMerlin is trying to incorporate doesn't apply to my WAN type (PPPoE) anyway, it seems to affect only those who use DHCP directly.

Asus did some code changes related to PPP in 3831.

I'm still getting the "Routing Conflict" error when switching from an OpenVPN server to another one ..

And as the log, here is a screen shot (too painful to extract this log on an iPad) :

If someone can help, I'd really appreciate it ...

Just had a serious crash on my AC3200 that required a hard reset to recover. Up until just now, things were very smooth indeed. I don't have a clue as to why they went sideways, but I couldn't even log into the router with a hard wired PC!
Here is the part of the log where the troubles began:

I had to revert to the 60 beta 2. My wireless clients were acting weird in not loading all the web the content in the web pages. I also had errors saying that I had to many tries for dns. I didn't capture the log. Sorry.

I have an ASUS RT-AC87U router. When using firmware 380.60 Beta 2 or 380.61 Alpha 2 the router seems to "ping" my desktop computer (Win 10) about every 3 to 5 seconds. When I look at task manager/Ethernet it shows something pinging the Receive. I will paste a picture of the task manager:

upload_2016-7-28_23-9-24.png

This is when computer is idle ( no web browser open anything like that) Does the same thing on wireless, too. I think I have tracked it down to this using process monitor:

upload_2016-7-28_23-14-35.png

I'm just not sure what all that means. I do know that if I turn off Enable UPnP Media Server the problem goes away. Almost no activity showing in Task Manager/Ethernet when system is idle. I also do not have the problem when using Firmware 380.59.

Anyway, I hope I explained the problem good enough to understand and thanks for any help or comments.

similar situation on my AC3200
also when streaming from my NAS to my wetek box via wireless, stream stops buffering (5GHz). Movie starts but after few seconds stops. In network monitor shows initial wifi data flow but then drops to zero.

Try to disable Teredo IPv6 Tunneling in Windows.

1) launch Command Prompt as administrator in Windows 10

2) disable:
Code:
netsh interface teredo set state disabled

If it not solve, You can go back by:
Code:
netsh interface teredo set state type=default

Me too. 380.61A2 just is a disaster on my AC5300. Blocks me to enter a lot of webpages including this one. Reverting back to 380.60B2 doesn't help anything. Before updating to 380.61A2 everything worked great using 380.60B2.
Also updating to 61A2 reduced speed from 250Mbit to approx 80.
Had to move back to my old AC68 with 380.60B2 installed. Works solid as a rock....sorry....

Here is the part of the log where the troubles began:

Your router crashed somewhere within the closed-source Trend Micro code. Nothing I can do about it.

This has nothing to do with the firmware. Most likely reason is, you are obtaining an IP lease from your ISP that is blacklisted by various sites. Switching to a different router means you get a different IP (due to the router having a different MAC address), hence getting around the problem. Your ISP will have to take care of this, or you will have to force a different IP by cloning a different MAC on your router's WAN page.

I was testing my ipv6 using suggestions from Google. I use their dns servers for ipv4 and ipv6. Found out that the ipv6 was timing out. I am now trying my Time Warner dns servers to see how they work.

Thanks for the info! Since this was a first, I'd thought it was related to the software update. I really appreciate your insight...

These are the logs since the reset, and the router is running as smooth as silk:

What do you mean my blocking you from webpages? Did it redirect you to router's page saying something about connection? If that is the case, I had it too, not sure which firmware I was using(between 380.59 to 380.61 alpha 2). When that happened, router's GUI says that WAN is disconnected, but I could access some websites still and not this website.

I'm trying to upgrade with this new alpha build to my 87U, the bar progress does not shows and the router reboot and keep the old beta2 firmware, any idea?

I have a Tp-link RE450 extender (last firmware may-2016) and I cant extended at 5GHz, this GLP code can be the issue?

I also have a Tp-link RE450 extender (last firmware may-2016) and ... everything works perfectly.
As I said in other posts (and also to Merlin) I do not like the way in which the DHCP Server Asus manages the Extender, but that's another story.. :)
Your problem probably is this firmware with 87U (I think).

Strange..... After reverting back to 380.60B2 on my AC5300 I have full access again to all pages again including this one. I'm also up to full speed (250/100)...

I clearly doupt that my Swedish ISP will blacklist several newspapers in sweden and several public stores...Danish kitchens and information about dishwashers.
