Tried setting the Authentication Method on the Admin-system page to HTTPS. the HTTPS LAN port defaults to 8443 and there is yellow text with a hyperlink that says, "Access setting page via https://router.asus.com:8443". That address worked fine for several days in IE allowing me to continue even with a certificate error but today IE no longer gives me the option to bypass the certificate error and only offers to close the page. If I try "https://192.168.1.1/" I get a login to AICloud, not the standard router interface.
I was able to get in after I switched to InPrivate mode and used "https://router.asus.com:8443". Anyone have experience with this setting? I was hoping that it would make access via the Internet more secure but it seems to cause problems with in-network access. Turning it off for now.
