What is "kernel: bcm_mcast_mld_add:833 mc_fdb->rep_list?"

I'm getting one of those about every 5 to 10 mins. Can anyone explain it to me?

Googling turns up mentions of this going back several years. A "fix" offered is to change the logging parameters but that seems like the wrong idea. I see mention of something called DoT: "I guess, something around DoT implementation needs fixing" but that's Greek to me.

RT-AC86U with Merlin 386.13_2

Debug output from Broadcom's code. Only Broadcom knows what it means.

Thanks. No wonder there is little in the way of satisfying explanations.

RT-AC86U uses BCM4366E
RT-AX86U uses Broadcom’s BCM4908 and BCM43684 chipsets

So, I wonder if upgrading from the AC to the AX (which I've been contemplating anyway) might eliminate this little annoyance.

As I mentionned, it's a debug message. Nothing says it indicates there is a problem, and it has nothing to do with DoT.
