I am upgrading my "TV computer". I use it to host a softhether VPN connection to my apartment in another country and sharing the network over wifi to my smart TV.
In this way I can use the smart apps for my home country.
This is accomplished using Mobile Hotspot of Windows 10 / 11.

Step by step:
https://www.dignited.com/102129/how-to-share-a-vpn-connection-via-hotspot-on-windows-10-11-pc/

I share the VPN virtual network adapter with the WIFI Direct adapter associated with the mobile hotspot (AX210)
(As soon as you enable the mobile hotspot the Wifi Direct adapter pops up)
But now on my BE200 equipped laptop, the WIFI Direct adapter is nowhere to be found. The mobile hotspot still works. But now I have no way to share the VPN connection.

Has annyone experienced the same using a BE200 adapter in Windows? Is there a way to get the WIFI Direct virtual adapter with BE200?
I am using W11 23H2 on two laptops, one with AX210 and one with BE200.

I can downgrade to AX210 on the particular laptop but rather stay on BE200.

I wouldn't say that's a downgrade - it's putting in something that is much more mature and stable (the AX210)

I switched hed the adapter to the AX210 and the Wifi Direct virtual adapter popped up immedialtely.
It seems BE200/Wifi7 has a more hidden Wifi Direct feature.
