We are running an RT-AX88U Pro behind a Starlink (business) modem in bypass mode with a public IP.
Computers that are connected via LAN - hardwired to the router or the switch - do not receive an IPv4 address - but do receive an IPv6 address.
All devices on the network (wireless, wired, etc.) can access the hardwired devices, but the ASUS router does not show any wired connections.

How would we enable IPv4 access on hardwired LAN devices? (snips below for context)

IP config for hardwired computer:

ASUS router not seeing wired connection:

IP config of WIFI device with IPv4 connectivity:

Why don't you just put away the Asus device and let Space Monkey Boy manage your internet?

Seriously though - Asus doesn't have the strongest record on managing IPv6 on the WAN side...

We have to VPN into the network for a large variety of reasons. The Starlink devices do not even allow port forwarding.

This seems like it should be a very simple problem to fix for those in the know, as we have a public IPv4 on the WIFI devices and have successfully set up the VPN server for all devices connected to that IP address.

Its very strange (to me, a layperson) that devices on the LAN do not have the same IP. Also that they can be seen by other devices on the WIFI (and vise versa) - but NOT via the VPN connection to the very same router.

edit to add that on top of it all, the router doesn't even see the wired connections!

Don`t crosspost the same question in two separate threads, it only makes it difficult for people to assist.

Locking this one, discussions should be carried in the other thread:
