my router is RT-AC87R with 3.0.0.4.376.47_0

Code:
....
Sep 22 02:00:24 rc_service: rc 1024:notify_rc restart_wrs
....
Sep 24 02:00:26 rc_service: rc 8320:notify_rc restart_wrs
....
Sep 26 02:00:27 rc_service: rc 15621:notify_rc restart_wrs
....
Sep 28 02:00:29 rc_service: rc 22907:notify_rc restart_wrs
....

every 48hour, notify_rc resetart_wrs occured.
and nat loopback is down. :(

Code:
Sep 22 10:20:53 rc_service: httpd 569:notify_rc restart_firewall
Sep 24 10:26:03 rc_service: httpd 569:notify_rc restart_firewall
Sep 26 10:09:37 rc_service: httpd 569:notify_rc restart_firewall
Sep 28 10:31:08 rc_service: httpd 569:notify_rc restart_firewall

if i modify firewall setting, (enable <-> disable)
nat loopback works again.

what is "notify_rc restart_wrs"?

sorry for my bad english..

sorry all to bump but I found your thread via google because I have this problem too

Router: AC68u
Firmware: 378.50
Code:
Mar 1 02:00:36 rc_service: rc 8573:notify_rc restart_wrs
Mar 3 02:00:40 rc_service: rc 15880:notify_rc restart_wrs
Mar 5 02:00:43 rc_service: rc 23190:notify_rc restart_wrs
Mar 7 02:00:46 rc_service: rc 30496:notify_rc restart_wrs

This is after a fourth reboot. It is odd that it happened on 1, 3, 5, 7 at 0200am.

I googled this and it is apparently Trend Micro Website Reputation System (WRS)

This thread/post also describe the issue exactly:

For more info, I use a very basic setup:
I do not use Trend Micro (AiProtection), it is always turned off.
I do not use port forwarding, usb drive, printer, or hardware acceleration (always turned off).

So, I only reply in case someone else searching "asus rc wrs restart" and also to ask if anyone have speculation as to what is happening inside Trend Micro at regular intervals - like maybe a TM server is busy, a buffer is full, a clock error, crash allocating memory, authentication expiring, anything or whatever, it's speculation. It seems like an easy fix because of the interval but I am probably wrong - not a programmer but feel like Sherlock Holmes sleuthing with magnifying glass and pipe:)

Hi

Maybe you should try the new RMerlin firmware v.378.51
I think the NAT loopback is fixed on that release.

- NEW: NAT loopback can now be chosen between Disable, Asus's original,
and Merlin's own (based on Phuzi0n's original DD-WRT design). The
option can be found on the Firewall page.
