New Around Here
Hi all,

I did some research, but was unable to find any info on this: the bandwidth usage shown in the QoS bandwidth monitor seems to be in excess of what I get in practice. There may be something I'm missing, so I wanted to check here in the forums.

I have tested this with severals apps, it's consistent: During a browser file download for example, the browser reaches up to 800Kb/s. At the same time, the router bandwidth monitor tells me download bandwidth usage is at around 8Mbit/s. Same if the browser is at around 600Kb/s, the router will tell me 6Mbit/s. Could there be an error in the router's calculations somewhere? That it should be 600Kb/s instead of 6Mbits?

I feel like I'm missing something. Please enlighten me :)

Regards,

ThorfinnSkullsplitter.

Oh, for life's sake. I just had an epiphany...

The browser shows Kilobytes per second, the router shows Bits per second. DUH.

I knew there was something really logical behind all this.

Cheers!
