In my new AC88U I have the following port link state for the lan:

Port Link State
LAN 8 (RTL) Down
LAN 7 (RTL) 1000 Mbps
LAN 6 (RTL) 100 Mbps
LAN 5 (RTL) 100 Mbps
LAN 4 100 Full Duplex
LAN 3 Down
LAN 2 1000 Full Duplex
LAN 1 1000 Full Duplex
WAN 100 Full Duplex

What is the (RTL) after the lan port from 5 to 8?
They are not gigabit ports?

thank you

They're all gigabit ports. I'm assuming the devices you have plugged in to Lan 5&6 are 100 Mbps devices or not proporly setup for gigabit. As you can see the device in Lan 7 is gigabit

Thank you for the reply,

but my question is what mean RTL (that appears only on port 5 to 8)
thank you

Ports 1-4 and ports 5-8 are on different switches, internally.

I'm not sure, but could it mean it is a Realtek port?

I assume it is Realtek.
The RT-AC88 has 4 ports with a Broadcom chip and 4 with a Realtek chip.
The RT-AC3100 only has the 4 Broadcom ports.

RTL stands for Realtek, the switch that controls those four ports.

Doh!.... just noticed this and knew RTL was realtek shorthand.

I have several chatty iot devices in a triangle... I want them physically on one switch. Not a functional biggie, and fortunately I had patched it right out of the chute, but good to know.

The add splash said 8 gigabit switch ports... not untrue, but it would be better to say (2) 4 port gigabit switches.
