I have strange connections problems with my new AC-87U (latest merlin build, as well with stock firmware).
Devices loses connections to the 5GHz Wifi all the time and do not reconnect until I do it manually. Often the devices switches from the 5GHz SSID to the 2.4GHz.
With iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro and a HP Laptop - all the same.
Often, when connected to the 5GHz Wifi, the speed is very very bad, sites do not load proper.

When I check wireless stats:

SSID: "router5"
RSSI: 0 dBm SNR: 22 dB noise: -47 dBm Channel: 40/80
BSSID: 54:A0:50:E5:84:5C Supported Rates: [ 6(b) 9 12(b) 18 24(b) 36 48 54 ]

as you can see I see SNR: 22 db while with the 2.4GHz moddule I have a constant SNR of 0 db. As I know SNR means signal noise radio and this is bad.
Even when I manually set up different channels for the 5GHz module this SNR reminds.

Could this be a hardware problem? Should I make an RMA request?

Apple's gear does not work properly at this time with the RT-AC87U. Asus, Quantenna and Apple are still trying to figure out what is going on. This is specific to Apple's devices.

The only workaround for now is to use the 2.4 GHz band instead.
