    I had the BE98 for about 2 weeks , returned it I could not get it to work the way I wanted .My 1100 pro is good enogh for now get close to ISP advertized speeds on wireless 1gb down 100 up I get 975 down 98 up

    return it . It was built by and for the beancounters at Asus , lots of features for a low price , that is why I did not recomend it to people I know looking for a tri band router same as the AX7800

    no wifi is not modified to my knowledge , just most times it just works where Asus has bugs or faults , not wifi but other parts of the FW

    3006 firmware branch not ready for prime time

    have to agree with you I said this a few months ago when i tried 3006 on my 1100 pro , was a disaster , now using Merlin 3006 alpha2 with no troubles . everything works as it should . I do not use mesh just an AP or extender when needed Good luck

    hope it continues to work well for you , in my experience even Merlin Alpha builds are more reliable than Asus release fw

    go for the latest Merlin Alpha ,it seems to work well better than the release FW Asus put out for my AX1100 pro . At worst you just go back to the old FW
