4.Enhance system access control mechanisms.
5.To enhance software functionality, we have implemented architectural changes. As a result, some settings will require manual reconfiguration:

-Only the first guest network of each Wi-Fi band will be migrated; additional guest networks need to be reconfigured manually.

Well, GT-BE98 Pro Web GUI now reaches the update server(s), running a beta firmware in AP mode. Grateful for that....

Do you have a direct link for that file?

I think you're referring to the BE98 Pro beta? I am guessing they are limiting release to a few, as I wasn't even given this one when I asked for it. (I was given one that starts with 3 but last 5 are slightly lower than this. I requested from the other user that (s)he share it with me)...

Yes you are correct referring to the BE98 Pro beta. If you get the link can you share please.

Probably better to consider saving the older ones. They seem to be aggressively deleting those...
While they remove the link from the support web page, the firmware file may still exist on their download repository. Dig through old release posts for the router in this subforum to find older direct firmware links and see if they still work. Did this for a RT-AX86U Pro and was able to find links for almost all of its prior firmware even though Asus only lists the current and two previous firmware releases on the support page for that router.

Some example past firmware links for the GT-AXE16000:
3.0.0.4.388_24374: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/ROG%20Rapture%20GT-AXE16000/FW_GT_AXE16000_300438824374.zip?model=ROG%20Rapture%20GT-AXE16000
3.0.04.388_24329: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/GT-AXE16000/FW_GT_AXE16000_300438824329.zip?model=ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000
3.0.0.4.388.23012: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/GT-AXE16000/FW_GT_AXE16000_300438823012.zip?model=ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000
And so on. Use the subforum search to find more past release firmware for the router and the direct download link for its firmware.

Finally they corrected the aimesh problems of the last 3 editions of the firmware ... When in auto connection, nodes appear to have all the wifis correctly ( but only if the node is in 3.0.0.6 also), even the guest networks are correct.
If the node is still in 3.0.0.4 there are problems mixing the networks ... the 2.4GHZ appear correct but the 5Ghz have problems ... it uses the 2.4Ghz name in the 5Ghz band but the guest network is correct .... something is definetely wrong there ...

I'm afraid these are directly sent to a few, and their large size makes it difficult to even share...

The AXE16000 was the top router around the time 3.0.0.6 (ASUSwrt 5.0 if I'm not mistaken?), was being released. At that time we were made to believe all routers would eventually make the transition over. At least they've finally made it. (Boy were the betas freakishly unstable)...

Asus is doing a good job retaining customers. I lost count of how many ROG routers I've bought and sold over the years

Not if you own a Zenwifi Pro ET12. :)

It might happen right? AXE16000 last non-beta firmware was also around 2024/11, similar to ET12. Figure crossed !

It will happen, without VLAN support unfortunately for the ET12. May just stay with the beta, but will see what happens once it's finally out. Yesterday Asus published then pulled the 3.0.0.6 version pretty quickly, so I'm hoping they'll fix what they need to then get it republished.
