[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.18 and 384.13_10 is now available

This morning had no wifi active, no internet connectivity, and couldn't see the modem for login. The AC5300 was showing 5 indicator lights white. Tried logging into the router via GUI, but could not connect via any of several devices. Did hard reboot of router, then for good measure, the...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

Mine has been working since the update dropped. Occasionally, I will show a Wyze cam unavailable in the Android app; but the cam remains available if selected. A router reboot sets the app right. Otherwise, flawless WiFi operation on my auto 2.4 band...

[384.15_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

5.5 days since installing the 15A1 firmware...it is rock solid! Temps are 2.4 GHz: 41°C - 5 GHz: 45°C - CPU: 52°C; and the RAM use is running 47% nominal... I am getting full speed from my provider with very low CPU load increases and no RAM/Temp increase at all. Great Stuff! Thanks, Eric!

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 Beta is now available

So, when unzipping RT-AC5300_384.14_beta2-g19f7309202, 13 files have to be overwritten by 7Zip to complete the job. Never saw this, and I'm waiting for feedback before giving the beta a spin... _________________________________________________________________ Edit... Thought it was in zip...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 is now available

Today after about 25 days of flawless operation, I could not log into the GUI on my 5300. This is the second time a hard reboot has been required in this release. Functionally, the router is handling all traffic without a hitch. The logon screen appears, but after credentials are entered, the...

I scanned this, but I don't see the process that might leave cpu 2 pegged. Did I miss it?

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 is now available

Funny thing? Found my AC-5300 with core 2 pegged at 100%. Core 1 was running 0-4%. Tried a warm reboot from the GUI with no help-that is, core 2 carrying the whole load. Had to hard reboot cable modem, router, and media access point to restore normal ops. System logs showed no anomalies at...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.12 is now available

I agree... There is a serious glitch in UPnP media server or Samba processes (see earlier post). It caused errors in my shared disc and started a closed loop that locked up/crashed the router and required a hard router reset. Without the shared media drive (8 TB), all is well. It will not...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.12 is now available

So, I tried to do my usual dirty upgrade on my RT-AC5300. It totally failed to accommodate my 8 TB media drive. It caused all sorts of problems, but ultimately failed to mount. These were the log entries, after I had tried every usual solution: Jun 22 14:41:26 kernel: b_state=0x00000020...
