    Upgrading Merlin firmware on AC88U to 384.11_2

    Delete and re-download the firmware and ensure that it is the correct model and that you unzip the files first. I have had a couple of "bad" downloads and re-downloading the file has solved the issue.

    Update from 384.11.1 to .2 went smooth as silk on my AP (AC-88U) but both the .1 and the .2 failed on the first attempt on the 86U. Webui showed the file "uploading" for about a minute, then it finally uploads and the update screen says that its failed but continues to run the 3 minute time...

    Nope. Shows no connections outside of DHCP and the phone at x.21 and no double connection (don't think that shows there anyway). I'll report back when the leases expire.

    Yes, the AP is showing up as x.2 on both it's and the routers list. I set it like this a while ago to avoid this issue. I don't know why its showing the phone as something outside of anything I've allowed (192.0.0.4) or why it shows as wired or has two connections. On the 88U (AP) the map...

    Is your setup the same? My 86U shows my 88U having 2 connections but has since I installed diversion and I know that the second connection is pixelserv-TLS.

    Setup is: 192.168.50.1 is router. DHCP reservation starts at x.5 AP is x.2, pixelserv is x.3 I have manually assigned the AP in the reservation as x.2 to ensure it doesn't wander away during updates/reboots.

    That did it here. I was having similar issues on phone and tablet amazon app when connected to the home wifi. Thought it might have been the VPN but nope. This solved it for me. FYI, I am using the "medium" block files in diversion.

    I saw what Merlin reports. I added a new 86U (as an AP) to my existing 88U but when I installed Merlin FW, after I factory reset the 86 (and made it the router) it booted up the first time as x.x.50.1. Took me a few minutes to understand why I couldn't get in via webgui over LAN...
