Am I all set to start fresh with the latest stable release? And a request for L&LD...

After creating the checklists two weeks ago to save the pages with settings, I've made all the screenshots (I think at least) of all the relevant guides written by @L&LD and the very useful tip by @netware5. The only thing is, those guides are great, except when you'll be offline at least for a...

    Router temperatures

There are certain series of the RT-AC86U seriously flawed, when ASUS decided to cut back on parts used. I have one myself, so to make sure that the temperature controlled cpu throttling doesn't kick in, I have to actively cool it. These issues became apparent only with the introduction of 384.x...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.3 is now available

For the senior users and parts of the furniture, do you remember the days that you weren't able to post to the forum if your post contained anything prohibited? Sometimes I nostalgically wander back to these days and wish that we've could have add the word 'temp' to the blocking list and sticked...

Would there be any interest if I added integrations to my addons, e.g. healthcheck.io, conditional notifications (e.g. email, Discord webhook)?

Does that imply that if/when an email script becomes part of amtm, it will be required to install Diversion again? If that's the case, I'd prefer to have the option to keep using your code if it is not too much to ask.

Would there be any interest if I added integrations to my addons, e.g. healthcheck.io, conditional notifications (e.g. email, Discord webhook)?

As an addition on my previous post, I know there are scripts floating around the forum and possibly even the wiki, but I've seen so many people struggling to get it to work properly, that I gave up before I started. After this 'issue', for which I take full responsibility, I'm actually...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.3 is now available

I used to use special characters in my passwords myself, but at a certain point, when I experienced similar troubles, I researched what is actually the difference between the amount of time before something can be cracked by a brute force attack. As a completely random and unguessable password...

Would there be any interest if I added integrations to my addons, e.g. healthcheck.io, conditional notifications (e.g. email, Discord webhook)?

I'd love e-mail notifications, if I understand you correctly. I don't use Discord, have no prior experience with healthchecks.io, but if you would be able to implement an easy to understand way to configure my router to send mail notifications when certain conditions are met, I'm definitely all...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.3 is now available

Are these the only add-ons? Otherwise you could try to start Firefox in safe mode: https://www.wikihow.com/Start-Firefox-in-Safe-Mode

Diversion struggling to block some ads

True, totally forgot about that. Thanks for the addition.

Tracking real-time traffic for specific device

That's not possible as far as I'm aware. You might checkout FlexQoS and/or CakeQos in the addons section, I recall there was chatter a while ago about implementing graphs, so possibly they have implemented something on device level, but as I don't use QoS anymore (no need to), I haven't follow...

Diversion struggling to block some ads

Diversion doesn't 'struggle', it either blocks it, or it doesn't. Technically, with the same blocking list, it should block the exact same ads, assuming your using the same blocking lists as many of them change frequently. You can follow dnsmasq to see whether it's blocked or not and compare...

Tracking real-time traffic for specific device

If it is only about the amount of traffic, you should check out Adaptive Qos > Bandwidth Monitor and scroll down to the device you're looking for. This shows real time traffic (stats, not contents).

    RT-AC86U Merlin asus BRICK???

I know, and right you are, but hyperlinks have apparently been blocked in signatures by Mr. Higgins, I assume. Would you feel better if I just pasted the full url? I went ahead and I've removed the shortened url and pasted the full url. Hope you sleep better tonight and rest assured that I have...

    RT-AC68R failed reset. Maybe Bricked?

That's useless on an Asus router. Reading the impact on your other electronics, I think your router is fried.

    RT-AC86U Merlin asus BRICK???

Thanks for the kind heads up. I think this is fixed now. Would you be so kind to check? Thanks!

    RT-AC86U Merlin asus BRICK???

I didn't imply that either, I said you were correct. ;)

scMerlin scMerlin v2 - Service and script control menu for AsusWRT-Merlin

Can I just switch back to stable and upgrade to the latest release?
  18. Hazel

    RT-AC86U Merlin asus BRICK???

You're both correct, but as he said he has no working leds anymore and none of the buttons responds, I do stick to my advice to download the firmware restoration tool as posted previously... (in English as well as French).

scMerlin scMerlin v2 - Service and script control menu for AsusWRT-Merlin

After some careful consideration during the sleepless hours of the night it seems only fair to me that you at least consider to provide (some of) the most used @L&LD tutorials in PDF format as well, preferably with checkboxes for idiots like me. Please.
